SIMPLE AND SOPHISTICATED SUMMER ACCCESSORY!

1
Our own LINDA SNOW knitted up this just lovely and sophisticated summer accessory, the RIDGED MOBIUS. Using just one skein each of CASCADE ULTRA PIMA COTTON and ART YARNS BEADED SILK & SEQUINS and a total of 56 rounds you too can knit this very quick and simple accessory to embellish your summer wardrobe! The cotton and silk combination create a chic drape and the beads a touch of sparkle:) The best thing about this mobius? You can knit it up in ANY yarn  in MANY colorways and have several for your different outfits (especially to wear to work), some casual, some a bit more dressy. OR, cast on a few more stitches and turn it into an INFINITY SCARF! PLUS, they make absolutely PERFECT gifts! You can't lose with this fun and quick project at Woolwinders, your neighborhood yarn shop! photo-133

AND YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST GREAT TEACHERS!

1
I am so very proud of the staff here at Woolwinders. Each one of them is a gifted, talented woman and the store would not be such a great place without them. But do you know just HOW special they are? For example, our own KAREN MORIN and KIM SCHNEIBOLK recently knitted sweaters which are featured in the new book THE ART OF SEAMLESS KNITTING---they are given credit for their contributions on page 188!! And you thought they were just your mild mannered safari teachers! Ha! Behind those knitting needles they are really super hip, globe-trotting knitter chicks with extremely impressive skills! Kim knitted the gold Cabled Tunic on pp. 80-89 and Karen knitted the green Textured Jacket on pp. 129-141. Here are Karen and Kim getting ready to Walk for Breast Cancer on one of their recent knitting cruises to South America. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it, ladies! photo-115
