Hello Friends! Happy Independence Day Eve! Coming to Woolwinders this August: HEALTHY HANDS CLASS/FALL YARN TASTING EVENT! On Saturday, August 24th from 12-2 p.m. AND from 1:30-3:30 p.m. we will be combining a yarn tasting of a sampling of some of our new Fall yarn offerings with a very informative practical application workshop with physical therapist Melissa Carman and Mindy Bickel. Melissa and Mindy will address the many roadblocks that knitters face with reference to hand issues/pain/stress from the act of knitting. In addition, they will offer one-on-one attention to each participant to address her specific hand issues while knitting. Class size is limited so we are offering TWO SESSIONS to make sure everyone gets the opportunity to participate in this invaluable workshop. The cost of the class is $50. Smaller projects are always good but now is the time to think AHEAD, time to think, "BIG project I can sink my teeth in to over the slower summer months." And the CENTRAL PARK HOODIE by Heather Lodinsky is just the project! On display now at Woolwinders, this widely popular and versatile cardigan is a very pleasant knit and is also a wonderful foray into a first cabling project. On a personal note, I will definitely be making another! And it works up quickly on worsted weight yarn. Aw, this adorable ribbed baby cardigan was knitted by the lovely and absolutely delightful Friday morning safari lite class member, DEE BROOKS!  Miss Dee used CASCADE 220 SUPERWASH PAINTS yarn and is almost as proud of her knitting as she is of her grandchildren:) Beautiful job Dee, in fact, just Dee-lightful! REMINDER: Woolwinders will be CLOSED for Independence Day (and some store up-grades!) on JULY 4TH and JULY 5TH! See you when we re-open on July 6th everyone! Happy Fourth of July!

Thursday morning safari class member GAIL LIBIN is ready for any season with this lovely knitted shawl from HPKY! Gail did a great job knitting up this versatile and universally perfect fitting shawl using HPKY VENICE yarn.
