Class Description: 

Christmas is a special time for those who live in the north. Winters are dark and cold, so people spend a lot of time sitting by the warm stove with some handwork. ARNE & CARLOS have a particular weakness for that time of year. With techniques, patterns, and sources of inspiration fondly shared by the designers, ARNE & CARLOS will outright charm you! Their knitting antics are the perfect recipe for holiday décor that is colourful and festive, whatever your skill level.

Materials:

ROWAN Alpaca soft DK. 1 ball (50gr) in colour #201 Simply White and 1 ball (50gr) in colour #206 Deep Rose.

*Important note about yarns*

As per ARNE & CARLOS - In order to allow us to spend equal amounts of time with each student, we request that all participants must work with the yarns stated in the class description, as these classes are made with those yarns in mind.

As such, WoolWinders is requesting that you please use the yarns stated for each project.  WoolWinders Yarn Shop is a Rowan Flagship Store and have all the Rowan yarns used in these classes available.  Please call, stop by the shop, or visit us online to purchase your supplies.  

Needles and Hooks:

1 set of DPNs size 3 mm (U.S. size 3, U.K. size 11)

1 Crochet hook size 3 mm (U.S. size D-3, U.K. size 11)

VERY IMPORTANT note about needles:

Choosing the right yarn and tools for any project is an essential! For those participants with little or no experience knitting with double-pointed needles, we strongly recommend bringing wooden or bamboo needles or Prym’s ergonomic needles. Please do not bring metal or carbon needles if you have never used DPNs before.

Other Supplies: Wool or Acrylic stuffing.

Homework: n/a

Level of knitting proficiency required: 

Basic knitting skills needed. Participants should be able to knit (no purling in this class). This project is good for inexperienced, intermediate and advanced knitters.
