Description:
The Musselburgh Hat (by Ysolda Teague) is a double layered hat with a 4-point crown shaping. The hat isknit into a long tube and bound off then the bottom half is pushed into the top halfcreating a super warm double layered hat.
The beginning stitches are created using a crochet hook and then placed onto knitting needles. The hat can be knit with one, two or three colors. The store sample is knit with 2 shades of Malabrigo sock yarn.
Supplies needed:
Ysolda Teague’s Musselburgh pattern purchased from Ravelry
1, 2 or 3 skein(s) of fingering weight yarn with at least 430 yards if using 1 color
(depending upon size of hat)
Size 2.75 mm crochet hook
Set of 5 double point knitting needles, size US 2
Size US 2 16” circular knitting needle
Set of 4 stitch markers
Note: you will need all the knitting needles listed above.
