Join JESSICA this April on Monday evenings for our APRIL MONDAY NIGHT KNITALONG CLASS and knit this incredibly pretty spring accessory, "Leftie," by Martina Behm. The pattern is available from Ms. Behm on Ravelry and the class is at Woolwinders on Monday evenings from 6-8 PM April 8th, 22nd, and 29th. Use up your leftover yarns or choose one of our fun new spring yarns to create this asymmetrical shawlette. It's all garter stitch with the cute flowers on the end knitted using short rows for a fun and relaxing knit. The pattern is very flexible allowing you to knit a small neckerchief, or a small or bigger shawlette! Remember: Mother's Day is coming! Tonight we turn our clocks ahead, a sure sign that the season has officially transitioned from winter to spring whether the weather is agreeing or not! And while our inventory may be taking a turn for the lighter and brighter, one thing that never changes is our wonderful SAFARI KNITTING GROUP CLASSES! There is just no better place to learn to knit or to hone your skills while making lasting friendships than in one of our safari groups. Just ask Thursday morning safari class members, KELLY CRAMER and RUTH MCLENAGHAN as they mugg for the camera and show off their most recent projects. Get ready to join our newest KNITALONG: The "EIGHT SHADES OF GREY" Afghan-Square-A-Month Knitalong/Class! Beginning APRIL 13TH, we will release one NEW AFGHAN SQUARE PATTERN for sale on the second Saturday of each month to use in knitting an afghan in eight elegant shades of, you guessed it: gray and white. Our afghan will be comprised of twelve 12" x 12" squares of various patterns and textures when it is completed and two pattterns a month will be released closer to the fall for those who'd like to complete their afghans in time for the holidays. AFGHAN SQUARE KITS including the pattern for the month and the required yarn for that pattern will also be available for purchase each month at the store and on our website with advance photos of the squares available on our Ravelry Group Page. GAIL GESTL is our own Lady in Red as she models her wonderfully chic bulky cropped cardigan knitted with SHALIMAR MISSY yarn! Knit from side to side, this sweater was an exercise in knitting structure and worth every stitch! Wonderful job, Gail!
