What better way to announce our 2012 KIDS SUMMER KNITTING CAMP than with a photo of HANNAH MEIT! FLO MEIT’S very pretty and sweet daughter, HANNAH, joined us at Woolwinders today for Take Your Child to Work Day. She discovered our newest model for kids, our MONSTER HAND PUPPET knitted with MOUNTAIN COLORS WOOLLY FEATHERS yarn (but any worsted weight yarn will do) and instantly flashed a big smile and dubbed him, MELMAN! What a perfect name—thanks, Hannah! Do you know a child between the ages of 9-12 years who would like to learn to knit this summer? We are offering two sessions: JULY 11-13th from 12-3 p.m. and JULY 18-20th from 12-3 p.m. During the camp we will have adult and teen supervision and your child will learn to cast on and to work the basic knit stitch to create such projects as bookmarks, bracelets, lanyards, bean bags, and pom-pom monsters…and if they really work hard, maybe even Melman! The cost of each three-day session is $199 (cost includes supervision, project materials, and snack. Children should bring a bag lunch each day).
