Woolwinders would like to ask for your help answering a call for charity. Once again this year we will be collecting handknitted or handcrocheted PREEMIE CAPS FOR CHARITY during the month of MAY to be distributed at SHADY GROVE ADVENTIST HOSPITAL. Last year’s coordinator of this effort, KATHY CLEMENTE, has once again stepped up and provided preemie hat patterns and guidelines for you to use including the following patterns listed below. We knit for so many reasons for so many people. Please consider, donating an hour of your time knitting up a hat or two the size of your fist for someone who can’t ask for your help themselves. Most of us aren’t doctors, or nurses, or other trained medical professionals who can make a medical difference in the first hours of the lives of these children, but let us as knitters and crocheters at least offer us something we can do to make a difference.
