    THURSDAY TRADITION @ WOOLWINDERS

We link to our BOOK OF THE WEEK today, as well as give you info on the upcoming weekend programs.
First up, to encourage everyone to keep their New Year’s Resolution to be kinder to Mother Earth:

We love sustainability in every endeavor, including our crafts!

As for this weekend, our Saturday KAL continues with PAIGE leading the charge to complete AFGHAN SQUARES featuring Fair Isle and Aran techniques. And on Sunday, join MARIETTA in completing a DOUBLE KNITTING potholder—this technique is incredibly cook—it makes your knitting reversible and plants a motif in your work without doing the dreaded INTARSIA. Really cool. You will need 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn and size 8 or 9 needles.

Both programs are FREE OF CHARGE and are held from 2-4 PM. We do ask that you call ahead so we save a space at the table for you. We do ask that you work with yarn purchased from the shop, and PLEASE remember that our free programs are not substitutes for our Learn to Knit or Learn to Crochet programs. You must have the basic skills to take part. Not sure if your skills are up to par? Take one of our intro classes for $10. Learn to Knit: Sunday 11 am-noon or Monday 6:30-7:30 PM. Learn to Crochet: Saturday 11-12. Preregistration and Pre-payment are required. Many thanks.
