We have totally lost track of time, being stranded in the cul-de-sac since last Friday. But it’s now THURSDAY and you know what that means! WEEKEND @ WOOLWINDERS NEWS. And yes, there WILL be a weekend. We are feeling quite optimistic that we may, in fact, be able to get the heck out of our house TOMORROW!

Anyway, join us this weekend. We are beginning the FEBRUARY LADY SWEATER KAL on Saturday from 2-4 PM. We worked on this sweater during the storm and can report that 1) it’s a great pattern, 2) it’s a hell of a lot of fun to knit, 3) it’s a great way to learn lace, and 4) it’s a wonderful FIRST sweater project. It’s made from worsted weight yarn and appropriate needles 24-32” in length. Join us!

On SUNDAY, we will be knitting the uber-adorable FRENCH PRESS FELTED SLIPPERS. These felted beauties are unbelievably fast and easy to knit. Unlike the clogs, they are done in pieces that are sewn together. No short rows. No knitting in the round. Put a cute button on and voila! As for the twice-aborted SNOWBOARD HAT, we are going to have a very special THURSDAY NIGHT KNIT-IN for it on FEBRUARY 18 from 6-8 pm. We understand that many of you who signed up for the Sunday program have more flexible schedules on the weekend, but this is the best we can do,short of bumping another program. If you bought your materials and can’t make it Thursday, call us. We will arrange for a help session.
