    IT'S THURSDAY!

So we present the BOOK OF THE WEEK from our lovely friends at www.amazon.com as well as info on the upcoming weekend at the shop.

First, a personal favorite. We always visit STRING in New York—Linda and her staff are amazing and their selection of luxury yarns is second to none. She once confided that about 70% of her inventory was cashmere! So who better to write a book about luxury knits:

If you haven’t used our affiliate program, here’s how it works. Get to the amazon site through the above link and WHATEVER you buy goes in our column! You are helping out your LYS while at the same time getting books at a price we simply can’t match. So everyone wins.

And we are so excited about this weekend! We continue our SATURDAY KAL from 2-4 with PAIGE leading the charge to learn FAIR ISLE and CABLED AGHAN SQUARES. Thanks to all who participated last week and took the time to write a nice email about the program. It’s free and it will run all month.

On SUNDAY, we knit amazing GLOVES on 2 NEEDLES. This is, hands down (!), the easiest glove pattern we have ever found. There is advanced prep work and you will need to buy the pattern, so please call the shop if you want to participate. Again ,the program is free of charge and will run from 2-4 PM.
