Just a reminder—we are asking you to sign up beginning a week in advance for both our SATURDAY KNITALONGS and SUNDAYS IN THE SALON. These will begin NEXT weekend-January 5 and 6. Both programs are FREE OF CHARGE and both run from 2-4 PM on their respective days.

SATURDAY KNITALONG: Join us on January 5 for the PRISM LACEY SHAWL. We believe that anyone wanting to participate has picked up their yarn and needles already; at least we hope so since we are out of the laceweight merino and very light on the Addi Lace needles. This shawl is gorgeous and a lovely way to learn lace knitting WITHOUT markers. We call this ADVENTUROUS level knitting.

SUNDAY in the SALON: We begin our month of FELTING with the FELTED MITERED BAG. If you have been curious about mitered squares, this is a perfect small project to satisfy that yearning. You will need two skeins of different color MANOS yarn as well as size 9 needles (either straight or circular).

We were thrilled to see KARINA walk through the door!!! For all of those who continually ask, she is doing great (as evidenced by the photo below), loves school and is just thriving in Los Angeles (sigh). We have really missed her!!!!

And if you are looking forward to upcoming SUNDAYS IN THE SALON, take a look at the adorable FELTED PET BED that Kathy made! We will be hosting this project on Sunday, January 27; you can sign up the week before. And of course, no pets were harmed in the making or display of the bed. The animal residing in it at the shop is a stuffed kitty!

From one of our favorite people in the world, our friend AMANDA who worked wih us at Deloitte years ago. She was kind enough to send along a photo of new daughter GEORGIA in the CROCUS CARDIGAN we knit for a Christmas gift. The yarn was COLINETTE JITTERBUG, a pleasure to work with!

to those last minute shoppers who went to the store yesterday only to find it closed. We can imagine your frustration, and please accept our sincerest apologies. We had to stay off our feet and Lew spent the day playing nursemaid and running all of our errands for us. Trust us, we would have rather been at the shop than watching two toes on our right foot turn blacker as the day went on. Beware slippery decks to all those who have hot tubs!!!

We will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11 AM and hope to make it all up to you. In the mean time, Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. And happy knitting to all.

Sorry but our deck attacked Jacqui just as she was about to get into the hot tub last night. The result: a throbbing broken toe, which is still too tender to walk or get around on. Since all of our staff is off enjoying the holidays with their families, we won’t be open today. We hope you haven’t been as naughty as Jacqui over the past year and that Santa brings you all the yarn you’ve been dreaming about. If not, we will be open on Wednesday at 11AM so you can buy what you really wanted to receive!
