PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.....

...and we were rewarded for our patience today by arriving to find BOXES of spring yarns from Rowan, Noro, and Debbie Bliss; as well as books galore!!!! We furiously unpacked, checked, priced, entered, and shelved and are exhausted but oh so happy.

Rowan has outdone itself this season. Gone are the exclusively muted "English" tones, and in its place are glorious spring colors! Pink, orange, green, yellow abound. The neutrals are still there, but are pumped up a bit; we confess to never seeing a prettier brown yarn than Summer Tweed. Old favorites are back: Cotton Tape, Linen Print, Summer Tweed and Cotton Glace; and we expanded our Rowan inventory to include Denim, All Seasons Cotton, and Cotton Braid. We can't stop staring at the yarn! We have Rowan's usual terrific pattern support as well; come see the corresponding books from them.

If that didn't cause enough excitement, we unpacked the Noro box to discover the most beautiful colors of Hana Silk for spring: turquoise, pink; red and sage. Their fun yarn, Daria, is back and in better colors (we like the one that reminds us of licorice!). Come knit or crochet with this funky wire/rope like yarn. It makes great bags, belts and scarves!

And more Debbie Bliss is in the house. Fabulous colors of Cotton DK, again brightened up for spring, and her new book SPECIAL KNITS for babies and toddlers. Debbie's energy is amazing. One incredible pattern book after another! Thanks to our pal Jay, we are also stocked with the elusive white, black and light blue Cashmerino Aran. And more is on the way!

And just in time, we are finishing up our Berroco Glace vest described in our spring newsletter. What to knit next, we wondered...what to knit next?
