We fell in love with this yarn during the spring and could not resist ordering more at the TNNA show. Knit alone it is gorgeous; knit with Rowan Kidsilk Haze it is exquisite! There is a wonderful pattern in Missy Burns Knitting with Hand-Dyed Yarns that calls for only two skeins of the Blue Heron Beaded Rayon (the put-up is 525 yards/skein!). We ordered six colors and received three today: Old Gold, Cactus, and Blue-Violet.

We also received a new pattern line today. Check out CHICKS WITH STICKS. These patterns are designed for new knitters who want high fashion and a quick knit. Most designs are done with chunky yarn on big needles and all are quite stylish and trendy. There are sweaters, ponchos, wraps, and shells. And we love the designers. OK, our best friend works at their shop in Pennsylvania. But we would have bought the patterns anyway, just on their merit!
