ANTICIPATION.....

Although it is only April, we had our first meeting regarding Fall yarns yesterday with our pal Jay from Knitting Fever. And all we can say is "Wow!" So file this in the back of your minds as you wait for the new yarns and trends: Debbie Bliss has new yarns and books including a gorgeous boucle and her popular alpaca/silk blend in a DK weight! Look for her signature cashmerino blend in a 3.5/inch weight as well. Noro has brightened up his palette in all of his yarns and has brought out a Kochoron yarn at a worsted weight; we predict that the hand of this yarn will prove irresistable. And new books to boot! We couldn't resist the Nature Wool line in both chunky and worsted; look for this tone-on-tone yarn to bring felting to a new dimension. And wait until you see the hand-painted avariegated worsted weight alpaca! 100% alpaca at a price you simply will not believe! We were exhausted by the end of our meeting (probably because it began at the ungodly hour of 7:30 AM!) but excited nonetheless about the coming season.
And trends? Ponchos still loom large, but shrugs and wraps will be the rage. Funky, trendy still in, but away from much of the eyelash and fur of past years-ribbon will dominate! (We saw that coming). So look for classes to help you make the trendy fall fashions. We know you will love the yarns to support them!
