CONFESSIONS OF A PONCHO SKEPTIC

mariettaponcho.jpg

OK we admit it. We viewed the entire poncho craze warily, firmly believing that this fashion item is best left to those still in their teens. We held onto this belief through the past two seasons, cheerfully hiding our feelings and selling poncho patterns and appropriate yarn to all those who asked. Would we, however, have donned this garment? NEVER.

Until today. Under duress from Adrian and Jean, we tried on the Colinette poncho that hangs in our window (modelled above by the lovely Marietta, who knit it!). And guess what? We loved it! We looked, if we say so ourself, fabulous. As did Adrian, as did Jean. So we want one. Now.

Marietta looks great! And more than once I heard Jacqui react less-than-enthusiastically to a customer who was interested in making a poncho. I'm glad to know you liked how you look in it. We bloggers will expect a picture in the future.

Looks wonderful! I want one too! I've been looking ALL OVER for a poncho pattern that doesn't look like it came from 1972!

Do you guys have the pattern at the shop??

Where can I find the pattern for the striped poncho on this web sit. Can I get it from your store?
Thank you, Margaret

Wow! What colorway is that? I just ordered the plum from my LYS. Can't wait until it comes.
